Founded in 1881 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, the Academy of the Holy Names is a Catholic, coeducational elementary school and a college preparatory high school for young women. The Academy of the Holy Names empowers students to be authentic individuals who engage in independent thought, are inspired by creativity, and lead culturally aware, spiritually rich lives.

The Academy of the Holy Names next High School Principal will work in close collaboration with the President to develop and support the school’s policies, direction, and vision. The High School Principal will have primary responsibility for the High School’s day-to-day operation and be its key instructional leader. He/she will be able to take advantage of the high school’s recent programmatic growth and oversee the development and furthering of a curriculum relevant to young women in the 21st century, consistent with the school’s SNJM core values and mission. The High School Principal will be responsible for supervising and working closely with a dedicated and caring faculty and staff in implementing academic and faith formation programming. In cooperation with the High School faculty and staff, the next Principal will look to build on existing best practices in all areas to strengthen an already outstanding program and ensure excellence in the future.

Key Qualifications
1. Enthusiastic practicing Catholic who is a Christ-centered servant leader that embraces, models, and champions Catholic education and will also be eager to learn and embody the mission and values of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
2. Advanced degree in an education-related field with a minimum of five years instructional and at least three years administrative leadership experience, preferably in a Catholic school environment.

8. Passionate about making authentic personal connections with students and caring about them as individuals.
9. Proven experience bringing together diverse constituents and stakeholders using collaboration and consensus-building skills, as well as a history of working with, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the local community.
10. Experience in strategic planning, implementation, fiscal management, and oversight is highly desirable.
