The Academy of the Holy Names is an independent, Catholic, coeducational elementary school and a college preparatory high school for young women, sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. High School Administrative Assistant
Employment Opportunity: The Academy of the Holy Names is seeking a High School Administrative Assistant for the 2020-2021 school year. This role oversees the staff and activities of the high school office under the direction of the High School Principal.
This is a 12- month position.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
2. Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite.
3. Ease and fluency with technology and software applications is expected.
4. The position requires logical thinking, skill in manipulating data needed to craft queries for various reports and the ability to learn and use Veracross.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Performs an array of basic administrative duties to promote the smooth management of the high school office.
2. Responsible for essential office tasks such as: maintain the principal’s calendar, coordinate appointments, open and process the principal’s mail, answer telephone calls and handle inappropriate manner.
3. Address questions from parents, students, and faculty.
4. Coordinate meetings and conferences.
5. Submits faculty requests with setup instructions for high school events which includes processing check requests and taking minutes at meetings as assigned.
6. Maintain discretion with·confidential information, display sound judgment, and sensitivity regarding student information.
7. Assume the proper preparation, maintaining faculty records, personnel information, and other documents as appropriate.
8. Coordinate or assist with special events. (i.e. freshman registration, open house, graduation, ring ceremony, clubs, and silver coffee).
9. Create and type reports for the Principal and Assistant Principal.
10. Provides Diocesan certification database support as needed.
11. Greet all guests, colleagues, students, and parents in a professional and courteous manner.
