School Counselor/School Psychologist
Founded in 1881 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, the Academy of the Holy Names is a Catholic, coeducational elementary school and a college preparatory high school for young women. Employment Opportunity: The Academy of the Holy Names seeks a High School Counselor/Psychologist to provide emotional, academic, college and career guidance to students to allow each student, as a whole person, to achieve her full potential for the 2019-2020 school year.
Qualifications: Florida licensure/certification as either a School Psychologist or High School Counselor.
At least 5 years’ experience in a high school setting.
Self-starter and team player.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Decisiveness and a willing to make and share decisions in a timely manner.
Knowledge of the college admissions process, their selection processes, academic programs, and admissions policies.
Experience in a Catholic school preferred but not required.
Write letters of recommendation for college applications.
Meet with students and parents in group and one on one settings to educate and guide them through the college admission process.
Liase with college professionals/Advocate for our students in the college admission process.
